World’s Longest Embroidery for Schools

Today some of our Rotakids were finding out about the World’s longest school embroidery and how Quarryhill Rotakids will be contributing.   They spoke about the potential designs they could do and started making some preliminary sketches.   We will be meeting later in the week to do further work on the design.   Anne from Rotary, then explained to the children about the types of needle and thread that they would be using and the initial stitches they would be learning.   The children then started on their own samplers, starting with a wide running stitch.   They then progressed on to using embroidery hoops whilst doing smaller running stitches.
